The title says it all.Well, i am not saying Adieu to blogging.As i mentioned in my previous posts my College life is about to get over.In few week’s time I have my final year exams and then I will be Done.

Our juniors had organized wonderful graduation party for us.They had put in a lot of effort to make our farewell a Grand success.Our juniors are truly amazing.I will miss them a lot.

After principal and hod’s Formal talk,Certificates were distributed to all the Toppers and students who had done exceptionally well in co-curricular and extra curricular activities.This was followed by students sharing their experiences so far in MSRIT.Well,how can i not share my experiences with the department and College and thank all of them who played a very important role in my life .This was my Farewell Speech:

The moment has finally arrived .Four splendid years are over and here we are bidding farewell to each other and we have so many memories to cherish from all the four years that we have spent in MSRIT.Well,I still remember the first day of college.There are may students who did their 2nd PUC in colleges and these people were already acquainted with College Life and College Culture.But there are like around 20-30% students who did their 11th and 12th std in Schools,wore school uniforms,attended assemblies sang jana-gana- mana and asathoma-sadhgamaya, and were let off from school gate only after the school bell was rung.I belong to the second category and I cant explain to you the amount of Enthusiasm and Excitement students of this Second category will have on the thought of going to COLLEGE.In this excitement what happened was i entered The Wrong Classroom.I am one of those Branch change students but on the First day of college I entered my present class i.e ISE ‘B’ Section.So,the WRONG Classroom which i entered on the first day turned out to be the RIGHT class after an Year.

Regarding ISE 05-09 batch,I am sure the faculty would have found it really difficult to select that one out-standing student or that one all-rounder from the entire 120 students because there are so many multi talented ,creative people who are at the same time so academically inclined.i am really proud to be a part a batch like this .Seriously,ISE 05-09 batch ROCKS!

My Speech would be completely incomplete if i don mention Vo’ISE and IGNITE .All thanks to our HOD,Ashwath Sir because it was him who came up with the concept of re-inventing the flavor of Vo’ISE.”Unity is a Powerful thing” and in this case it was not only the unity among students but also unity among the entire department as a whole that has helped revive Vo’ISE.And, i am proud to say that i was part of IGNITE 08.IGNITE was the first technical extravaganza that happened in MSRIT and it brought all the sister branches CSE,MCA and ISE together.It was a pleasure organising it with CSE and MCA students.I must mention that the juniors have done extremely good job in Vo’ISE and want to congratulate them on the Success of IGNITE 09.Hope you carry the essence of Vo’ISE and IGNITE forward to your juniors.I am sure as each year goes by IGNITE is going to get Bigger and Better.

Among the events organized in our college,Adobe Flex boot Camp 09 was one thing that i will Cherish .There were many things that we learned from this event but one thing that most of us learned was the value of MSRIT and what is called as  The “MSRIT MOJO”.Since it was an inter-collegiate event we had to go to other engineering Colleges to publicize our event.We had to travel 30-40 kms from the city center to some of the colleges that we haven’t even heard of (NO OFFENSE).Its only when you go to these Colleges you will know what it is to study in MSRIT.

I feel the reason why MSRIT is famous all over is beacuse of the faculty here.The teachers of MSRIT are like Pillars of this institution.They have extended their Classes beyond Classrooms .i would like to thank them for being so inspirational and supportive.Thank you teachers for making MSRIT the epitome of education.

There are many things that i am going to miss.the 2 minutes breaks that we used to take between classes and we used to rush to canteen to have one by two coffee,the birthday parties,class trips,last minute group studies just before internals and many more.I am definitely going to miss my friends.I would like to thank them for being so supportive and always standing by me.

I would like to say All The Best to everybody for all your Endeavors.May your pockets be heavy.Finally,Good Luck to juniors.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and House cleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system. Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5..3 to fix these problems, but to no avail. What can I do? DEAR Madam,

First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme. html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.. However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Silence 2.5 or Beer 6.1. Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.) In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0. In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. i know i have been hibernating for too long.I would like to say sorry to my sweet little blog for ignoring it for such a long time.I am in my final sem and God Hell i have  been enjoying each and every minute of it.I have hardly attended classes and i am so proud that i have missed them all .There is only a month left and then i will be DONE !.Half of me is very sad and the other half excited. Excited because i will be entering a brand new phase soon.

BTW though i haven’t written any post for almost 2 months my blog count has increased by 2000.Thats AWESOME for a blog having only (only) about  20 posts.This is an encouragement for a blogger like me. HAIL GOOGLE!

I recently wrote about moral policing in my blog.That post generated a lot of views to my blog and comments from various people.I wrote that post out of rage.I was furious with what i saw.I know everybody doesn’t think alike.Different people have different opinions.The following are two comments to my post -Moral Police it seems…what the eff? .I was apprehensive about accepting them.But after giving a lot of thought i decided to make all my readers aware of the existence of such people.Everybody has raved about moral policing and this issue is almost forgotten.But let me know what do you have to say to these comments.What say you?!They want answers.

I like the way that you ppl r treating these senas. But in some aspects I do support them. The way that they have handled the ppl in pub is ridiculous. I agree with you. But the place that they have targetted is correct. I too oppose this pub culture the way they hate it. A girl will go to the pub and will dance with any colleague or friend who is there with her parts touching him? Don’t you think it is against our culture?

then u would defenetly enjoy ,if ur mother goes to a pub and dance withe other men..isn’t??

don’t u think that pub is the best place for supplying drugs?u r saying about women rights..do u believe that all are seeing women in a respectful maner in pubs?? i want answer.

Everyday i travel by auto to college.There is no direct bus that goes from R.T nagar to New B.E.L road.If i choose to travel by bus I have to wait near the bus stop from 7 in the morning,board a bus that goes via Doordarshan Kendra and then wait there till i get a Bus to New B.E.L road.After reaching New B.E.L road i have to walk 2kms to reach college.To add to the misery my college does not provide bus facility.The reason being it is in the heart of the city.All this compells me to take a rickshaw to college.In first year(2005-06) it costed only Rs20-22 to reach my destination(with the correct meter).In second year(2006-07) due to hike in auto fares(Rs.14 minimum fare) it used to cost Rs.28-30.This trend continued till my 7th semester(just 2 months  back -2008). There was no problem even when BIAL was  newly introduced in Bangalore.The problem came into being  after modifying  the road near Gangenahalli crossing.Earlier there was a provision to take a right turn near Ashwath nagar signal leading to Sanjay nagar.But now there is a new road resembling a bridge with no underpass ( an elevated road) that has been constructed which has changed the entire crossing. There is no right-turn provision only .There is a left turn that leads to  the airport.Vehicles from R.T nagar , Sultanpaltya , Hebbal , Anandnagar intending to go to mathikere,MSR nagar,Sanjay nagar and other areas around it have to go all the way to Mekri circle and then take a U-turn to reach  Ashwath nagar road.Because of this change in infrastructure i have to shell down Rs 50-55 to reach college.I can go to Commercial street paying 5 bucks extra from R.T nagar.I will be looking for an alternative to reach my destination everyday.It is such a pain.All this just to cross one streatch of road.Phew!.BIAL is making a huge hole in my pocket.I am really happy with the way Bangalore is developing.BIAL seems to be a boon.There is a metro-rail coming up in the city.But the way Bangalore is building its roads is pretty annoying.The earlier routes were very convinient in some areas.But this route could have been done in a better way keeping in mind about the convinience of people who live here.I know earlier routes will not be retained.But its making my pocket empty

What  happened in Mangalore is outrageous.How can some group of men barge into a pub,drag women,pull them by their hair,almost strip off their clothes call themselves Cultural activists?What culture are they talking about? Hitting women the way they have? If pub culture is not acceptable in India then why dint they display their power by hitting the men in the pub.Why only women?

The blame game has already begun.The entire issue has been politicized.Sri Ram Sena doesn’t have to decide how women should behave.They are not here to decide what women should wear or what they shouldn’t.They are not Gods to decide what women should drink or eat.If they want to do something for our country let them do it by cleaning garbage in the city.Help the poor.Work towards women empowerment and for god sake stop assassinating any woman’s character. Drinking alcohol is  injurious..Its not good for both men and women right? What about the cheap alcohol that is available in all slums of India. Why are they not banned? How can we forget Hooch tragedy .And its needless to mention what politicians do to get their votes from Indian villagers.Why cant Moral police do something against it?Targeting westernization isn’t the need of the hour. Now,we have to take permission from the moral police to celebrate valentine’s day as it is against our culture.They are going to attack anything that does not conform to their idea of purity or morality.Today they have barged into the pubs,tomorrow they will barge into our houses to tell us what books we have to read ,what we have to eat or what we have to watch.The sensitive moral police will attack anyone who goes against their notion of morality.The fanatics in the name of religion and sex will beat up anybody who embraces westernization.

Supporting Moral police is nothing but supporting goondaism…

I still remember the first date I ever went on in my life. Usually

first dates are memorable to everyone but for me it was something

that I can never forget. I went out for my first date with my high

school crush when I was in class eleven. It was a day that I planned

for weeks and finally she, Rachna, agreed to come out with me,

Prasun! In school who was famous for being a person with a cool

attitude with no constraints from the family end, whose parents were

more of buddies than dominating guardians! However the fact remained

that I too was from a middle class family with core values and

principles like all others.

Back home I lied to my parents that I was going out for a school

excursion and managed to get the approval of my parents and finally

the day arrived.

After a short lunch at a funky restaurant, Rachna and I went hand in

hand for a movie. As the evening was drawing to a close we were

roaming in the streets of “New Market” talking to each other, about

each other. Life suddenly seemed so beautiful.

All of a sudden, out of the forgotten multitude that was also

walking in the same street, I could see a familiar face quite

distinct- why I didn’t know. As realization embraced my

consciousness, I comprehended that the face of the person

approaching me from the other side was of none other than but my

FATHER!

Within a fraction of a second all romanticism vanished from my heart

and a fear engrossed it instead. I could interpret in that short

time the amount of humility and shame I would face suddenly as my

father would recognize me, scold me after we meet, and that was

inevitable! Apart from the scorn that I would face at home, I could

also feel the embarrassment I would face in front of Rachna, who

recognized as the cool guy .. in school as well as back home!

Crippled with the fear I only prayed that the earth would open up

and I would hide there from all the humility. However there seemed

no practical escape from it. Then something happened.

My father came near me, along with the now not-so-forgotten

multitude, looked into my eyes as a stranger and passed by me

rubbing his shoulder against mine and passed by without even

recognizing me. It was the biggest shock and relief of my life. I

still don’t know which emotion was predominant at that moment.

After sometime, Rachna went away to her home oblivious of the fact

whatever I just revealed, and I came back to mine.

At home that night, life seemed to me like a prison. I went for

dinner with a fearful heart and a lost appetite. To my surprise,

everything was so very normal. My mother served dinner and we all

ate the usual way. This made my life more miserable. I quickly

finished my food and went back to my room. Questions crowded my mind

and I couldn’t figure out what might have happened after my father

came back home and revealed about my forged romantic rendezvous. Why

everything was still so normal pained my mind even more!

Presently my father calmly came into my room and sat beside me. I

looked into his eyes with fear in mine but discovered a smooth

comfort in his! He soothingly asked, “So Sunny Boy, how was your

date, I must say she was a pretty and sweet lady!”

Like somewhat mesmerized I revealed everything to him about my first

date and added, “Dad, it was simply out of this world, but the day

passed away li ke a few minutes only!”

He smiled and said, “You know what, Albert Einstein once said …

Put your hand on a hot oven for a minute and it would seem like and

hour; put your hand upon a pretty lady for an hour and it

would seem like a minute! Now that’s relativity. It’s all relative,

the fact is how much you cherish what you gained … RIGHT! This is

the biggest lesson of life my son”

I had never seen my father being like this before; he was more of a

buddy than my guardian actually. I could feel within me that I would

never ever be able to hide anything else from him, he actually

understood me much more than my own self.

We talked for an hour and I would remember those words forever

perhaps! I couldn’t interpret whether it was my First Date with my

dream girl or the First Date of knowing my father actually. However

I knew that I realized how much I loved and respected my father

after that. Just as he was leaving my room I called him and

said “Thank You daddy! Thank you so much!”

Both of us knew what I was thankful for and required no mentioning.

He turned towards me with his dreamy eyes and said these words…

“Hey son, how could I ever let you down my child, never! I would

just say, whatever happens in life and whomever you love in your

life and to whatever degree, you only remember one thing that your

Daddy has loved you 18 years more than that. 18 years more than that

dear!”

He switched off the light and went to his room. In the mild blue and

gray of the moonlight ushering into my room through the window I too

could feel one thing … Yes, it’s truly 18 more years of Love, I, or

any child, can never ever cover up! It was in fact my First Date,

the first one of actually realizing the Love I had taken for granted

for all those Eighteen Years perhaps! It truly was so.

There has been only one thing on my mind from the past one week and that is FLEX BOOT CAMP 2008. Co-ordinating and Volunteering for such a big event in itself gives me great pride.

Inauguration

Adobe in association with MSRIT conducted FLEX BOOT CAMP 2008 on 7th and 8th Nov.There were 700 participants from several different colleges all over Bangalore attending this event.

It was amazing to see the enthusiasm students showed in learning FLEX and AIR.T-shirts,Cds,books and other goodies along with participation certificates were given away to students who attended the event.

7th Nov,2008

Day 1 started with a series of sessions on what Flex is all about.There was a brief introduction on Web 2.0,RIA and the future given by Mr Anantharaman,Director Adobe.

This was then follwed by sessions on introduction to Flex and how to use it.UI and data connectivity presentations were given in the other half of the day.A test was conducted for the students based on what was taught on flex to participate on the hand’s on session and the contest.After all the sessions,it was the final fun session that participants enjoyed the most.Here,the evangelists shot questions to the crowd and won goodies like T-shirts and books.After announcing 100 teams,Hand’s on session followed.

8th Nov,2008

On day 2,100 selected teams were asked to develop an application using Flex within 6 hours time.There were four different applications out of which the teams had to develop one.It was amazing to see how students worked on it.Some skipped Tea-breaks and lunch.One winner and two runners up were selected.Some consolation prizes were also given away.It was Nutan and Aditya from CMRIT who took the winners trophy.Cash prize of Rs.30000/- for winners,Rs 20000/- and Rs 10000/- for runners up were given away.(Corrected:I made a typo by writing 100000/- instead of 10000/- )

Coordinators with Evangelists

They are simple and delicious.They are white and soft.Idli-sambar is one of those vegetarian dishes which is so irresistable. Idlis can be eaten for breakfast,lunch,evening snack and dinner.It is universally accepted and liked by all as ideal breakfast in India and abroad.

• Cost efficiency : Idlies are cheaper and economical.The price ranges from Rs.5 – Rs 150.
• Healthy : Idlies contain no oil and no fat.It has medium calorie content(of 60 calories) and is cholestrol free.It can be eaten by all(young and old).Suggestive for people who do a lot of traveling.
• Variety : There are many variations of Idlies available.Rava idly,button idly being the popular ones.For non-vegatarians try teaming hot idlies with chicken/mutton curry.This makes for an ideal sunday brunch.
• Hotness quotient : Idlis are always served hot with coconut chutney and hot drumstick/onion sambar.They just melt in your mouth like butter.Yummy!
• Simplicity : They are simple to prepare and delicious.Simplidly is the word.

Preparation:Idlies are easy to prepare .The procedure involves grinding idli rice and black gram together followed by fermentation for 10-12 hours.The dough is then steamed in a idli cooker or closed vessel for it to become soft and spongy.Allow a couple of minutes to go.Now hot and soft idlies are ready.

Some get high by drinking,some by thinking but i get high by eating idlis :p …My love for idlis is eternal and hence this post…
