I recently wrote about moral policing in my blog.That post generated a lot of views to my blog and comments from various people.I wrote that post out of rage.I was furious with what i saw.I know everybody doesn’t think alike.Different people have different opinions.The following are two comments to my post -Moral Police it seems…what the eff? .I was apprehensive about accepting them.But after giving a lot of thought i decided to make all my readers aware of the existence of such people.Everybody has raved about moral policing and this issue is almost forgotten.But let me know what do you have to say to these comments.What say you?!They want answers.

I like the way that you ppl r treating these senas. But in some aspects I do support them. The way that they have handled the ppl in pub is ridiculous. I agree with you. But the place that they have targetted is correct. I too oppose this pub culture the way they hate it. A girl will go to the pub and will dance with any colleague or friend who is there with her parts touching him? Don’t you think it is against our culture?
then u would defenetly enjoy ,if ur mother goes to a pub and dance withe other men..isn’t??
don’t u think that pub is the best place for supplying drugs?u r saying about women rights..do u believe that all are seeing women in a respectful maner in pubs?? i want answer.

OMG ! It must obv be some people who have some weird thoughts! The second comment is a proof of the narrow thoughts of some people …Disappointing attitude definitely..

Its very sad that people have such thoughts. Let us not categorise as the narrow minded. They are completely naive and prejudiced. N too much hypocrisy to take.

There are people who are against girls drinking and dancing but will cheer to “Babuji” song. There are those who speak of our moral values and then do what the sena did at that pub.
Hypocrisy is the ultimate vice of mankind that helps people justify what they want, while having disregard to the same morals conveniently in another setting in the name of god, religion, beliefs and culture…

Tell me beating ,dragging,molesting women is it in our culture!!???
see there is a saying ” if u want to steal, steal the whole treasury not the poor ” this is a crude translation
if u really want to change then first and foremost stop giving licenses to pub itself , stop production of alcohol itself??? can u do that?? Do u have it in u to bring that change in ppl rather than cheap mentality ppl beating woman
let me tell u one thing , u cant instill the faith of our culture by mercilessly beating woman, children etc.. it brings down our culture down even more!!
tell me one thing how much u konw about the culture and age old beautiful traditions in our country???

yes i am really angry with the system which has totally gone out of control u know.
last week i got a spam it was about how much money has been kept in swiss bank , by individuals and from which country and the list was headed by our country .. thanks to these corrupt politicians, corrupt babus even a peon is corrupt in this country , it amounts to 1456 BILLION DOLLARS ,THE FIGURES GIVEN WAS FOR 2006 , u can guess how much they might have amassed in 2 yrs.
it was also mentioned that , with that money all our external loans can be paid and still some amount will be left over…
so u can guess how much we are being exploited by our own ppl…
Irony is that they dont even think they are harming the future of their own children
i think atleast now we wake up and set the system right..
i think we youth should plunge to clean this kachada from our midst right??
if we are not voting then we should definitely vote !! and we should bring good ppl who are in our midst to politics!!!
so what do u say about this bhavana???

We dont need moral policing…encroaching ones liberty and freedom…What sena had done at Mangalore is barbaric,,,,not acceptable in civil society,,,what we need is introspection from one’s own self. Self Soul Search…Clean within…

Guess the idea and question “what is our culture?” must be a vital one…
Drugs, sex, violence, polygamy, religious intolerance all these were there, just that we chose to ignore or forget it ?
What was “Ashva Medha Yagna” ? You must actually see some wiki entry to really understand its true meaning and how our “so called” culture handled it…
What applies to a woman doesn’t apply to a man. No-one wants to question the man who “is trying to touch the so called body parts” of the women.. but yeah, we want to restrain the women ….. weaker sex …
Recently saw a placard that was asking for men to wear “dhotis” if they wanted to women to wear “saris” … makes sense to me…
The weak has to pay.. take a small example where a petty thief is caught red-handed and cornered by some folks. Everyone in the crowd will come and hit the thief.. even a nincompoop and a loser all throughout his life can boss in such situations …

Don’t mind I’m commenting on this very late, but was a little itchy to comment, when i read this post.
This person seems to be lot fickle minded, first he says “I like the way that you ppl r treating these senas” and in the very next sentence, “I too oppose this pub culture the way they hate it” . So that means he virtually does belong to sri ram sena group and he loves the way how “he/ram sena” is been treated, only psychopaths can talk like this. I’ve seen in lot many forums and youtube, many people intentionally write such comments to gain popularity, they have got no other way to get it. May be he’s even enjoying reading this post and all the responses we’ve given on his question. I think ignoring them is the best way to keep them away.
Generally speaking and considering the busy lives, like sit in the “cabin-world” come back in the night and rest, what a life? definitely one needs a break time to time, pubs are no way a wrong option, but others have problems with it! sick life, again. Beating up the innocent people is really inhuman, ram sena should know that first. And if pub culture is a western culture, so is our constitution. Remove all the laws derived from the west and we all shall wear dhotis/sarees and roam the streets

Lets count on our fingers which problems our country is dealing with …
1) poverty
2) unemployment
3) recession (for software/satyam guys)
4) terrorism
and so the list goes on … Now let me know how many can be solved by beating the shit out of others… Don’t we have enuf problems to deal with before beating women in pubs ? And last is India not any democratic country ? Have not we heard about fundamental rights in our Civic text book since childhood days ?
