Raindrops on roses…

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad

This song brings back all my memories of my childhood.I remember watching Sound of Music, the Classic movie and a few songs such as this and “Do-Re-Mi” still remain in my mind.I sang these songs even in school(over and over again) whenever i was given the opportunity.I still love these songs and urge all tiny-tots as well as grown-ups not to miss this.Listening to it will trigger anyone to make a list of favorite things.

This is the video of the song…Enjoy watching it…

Sound of Music was known for its excotic movie locations. As a kid watching this movie on my VCR was appealing to my eyes.

The video below gives an impression about the locations where this movie was filmed.

Beautiful song…

Do-re-mi was my absolute favourite.
Have you seen Fiddler on the roof. That one too had beautiful songs like “Matchmaker” and “Do you love me”.

This movie has almost everything – music, spectacular scenery n adventure. it really is quite watchable(I’ve seen it more than once)!

I love this movie !! Have seen it many times !!
We’d performed Do-Re-Me in our school day long long time ago :D
I also like “I am 16, going on 17…”
Used to sing it all the time before :P

Very nostalgic.Brought back the memories of singing raindrops in western music class during 3rd-4th grade :) .. the broad smiles and bobbing head actions especially when girls do it with double plaits ..argh i am feeling old now :)

you are more dormant than I am! :D
